admissions process


REGISTRATION / ENROLLMENT PROCESS 2015-2016


Thank you for choosing St. Pius X School as your preferred private higher educational institution. In order to facilitate the registration / enrollment process, please follow the steps outlined below:

NEW STUDENT: PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL NEW STUDENTS MUST TAKE AN ENTRANCE EXAM.  ONCE ACCEPTED, YOU WOULD THEN FOLLOW THE STEPS OUTLINED BELOW.  TO SCHEDULE AN ENTRANCE EXAM, CALL OUR OFFICE AT 915-772-6598 AND ONE WILL BE SCHEDULED FOR YOU.  EXAM COST IS USUALLY $15.

NEW ENROLLMENT INFO

  1. Fill out Application Form for Admission and schedule testing, interview, tour and appointment at the front office. Submit a non-refundable $15 entrance exam fee.
  2. All entering students are evaluated by St. Pius X administration through an interview/visit process. Students entering 1st through 8th grades are required to take an Admissions Exam. St. Pius X reserves the right to place a student in the grade or class group, that it feels will be most beneficial to the student and the school. Parents/guardians will be notified by the appropriate school whether or not their child has been accepted into St. Pius X School.
  3. All applicants for Pre-Kindergarten, should have turned 4 years old by September 1, and must be potty trained.
  4. All applicants for all other grades must submit a copy of a current report card, immunization record, and birth certificate to the front office.
  5. Upon acceptance, parents/guardians will be directed to the Admissions Office to complete and sign the Student Registration Forms. A NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE, tuition deposit is due at this time.
  6. Tuition is payable as scheduled in the Student Admissions Contract. Please READ THE STUDENT ADMISSIONS CONTRACT CAREFULLY.
  7. Immigration Law: Students coming from a foreign country must have a visa with them each day. An I-20 form must be filled out and submitted to the U.S. Consulate Office in Cd. Juarez.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION 2015-2016

ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC SCHOOL

Openings available are on a FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVE basis. Once the class enrollment has reached its limited, no openings will be available.

Preference will be given to those families who have completed the following:

1. The registration process

2. Paid the registration fee, building fee, student activities fee, and signed fundraising contract

3. Created a Tuition Plan/Contract with F.A.C.T.S. with the finance Department

4. Signed and submitted the Tuition Agreement with the school.

For returning families registrations fees will increase if not made in March. Registration in April will be $250 per student and after May will increase to $300.

Fundraising Fees

$300 per family

This includes the $100 Diocesan Raffle and all other school fundraising.

A fundraising contract will be provided for each family to sign.

3 options to choose from

1. Opt out and just pay the $300 at registration.

2. Pay $150 by November 1 and the remaining $150 by Feb. 1.

3. Decide to participate in all fundraising.

New students will have to provide the following ORIGINAL documents to the school before the 1st day of school. Originals will be copied by the office staff and returned to you:
